Overview of the Society of Financial Awareness

Scottsdale, Arizona, resident Jerry Guttman is an experienced financial advisor who has worked at Total Living Plan for more than three decades. In the past 14 years, Jerry Guttman has actively shared his knowledge and expertise by delivering a series of informative workshops and financial seminars across the country as a representative and speaker of the Society of Financial Awareness (SOFA).

SOFA is a San Diego, California-based non-profit corporation established in 1993. It aims to develop financial literacy throughout the United States by providing free educational events to individuals, companies, and organizations. SOFA’s members include experienced professionals, such as financial advisors, accountants, and credit counsellors, who cover a wide variety of topics related to financial health, retirement, and solving debt.

Prospective attendees may choose from two possible types of events: a “lunch and learn” session at a company or organization; or a “lunch or dinner” seminar selected by the presenter with possible venues being a restaurant or a public library.
